1. Sitges

(The fastest route is approximately 25 minutes and the distance is 27.2 km.)

(The route contains a toll.)

Sitges is an area very visited and occupied by the LGTB collective, and much adored by its locals, the city located just in front of the sea, has managed to mix the modernity and the tradition of Sitges to create a municipality for any type of public and with hundreds of activities to do during the day and night. It is also one of the most recognized places for its Mediterranean restaurants. In 2013 it was proclaimed the best beach in Europe by the New York Times. If you go on vacation, the best thing you can do is go to a terrace, sit down and enjoy the weather. Sitges has a tradition of filling the streets with flower carpets and outdoor cinemas.

2. Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici, Lleida

(The route is approximately 3h and 18 min and the distance is 295 km.)

It is the only national park located in Catalonia, the National Park of Aigüestortes I Estany de Sant Maurici is one of the most beautiful places for its high fauna and variety of trees and plants. It is located in the central part of the Pyrenees, the landscape is a high mountain, since much of the territory of almost 41 hectares is more than one thousand meters high, with peaks that exceed 3,000 meters. What you will see as soon as you arrive will be spectacular valleys with green meadows, glacial lakes and rocky masses with as much magic as Els Encantats. Put on your boots and explore!

 Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici

3. Besalú, Girona

(The route is approximately 1h and 38 min and the distance is 147 km.)

(The route contains a toll.)

The medieval set of Besalú is a National Historic-Artistic Complex since 1966. You only have to cross the monumental stone bridge that leads to the historic center to travel back in time to the Middle Ages. To walk through the stone streets of Besalú is to live the history of that place hundreds of years ago. Let yourself be carried away by its medieval structure to the Jewish baths, the church of the monastery of Sant Pere and Sant Julià, the Romanesque house of Cornellà or the Gothic room of the Palacio del Curia Real. And, back ... marvel at the reflection of the arches of the old bridge over the waters of the river.

4. Delta de l'Ebre, Calafell

(The route is approximately 38 min and the distance is 47 km.)

(The route contains a toll.)

The largest wetland in Catalonia, the amazing Delta del Ebro, has an area of 320 square kilometers and stands out for its high natural wealth, as well as its landscapes and beaches. Stroll through the rice fields at sunset, explore the island of Buda by bike or even take a boat ride to admire the charms of a beautiful and incredibly special place.

 Delta del Ebre

5. Cadaqués, Girona

(The route is approximately 2h and 14min and the distance is 186 km.)

(The route contains a toll.)

Picasso, Miró or the great Dalí spent long periods in this fishing village on the easternmost border of Spain, is for something. Perhaps it is the recess of a place that was practically isolated until the nineteenth century, the picturesque streets and whitewashed houses, the pride with which they live facing the sea, the boats on the beach or the climate touched by the fierce Tramuntana. Whatever it is, it is worth getting carried away by its labyrinthine streets that always end at sea, visiting the Salvador Dalí House Museum in the bay of Portlligat or walking through the Cap de Creus Natural Park. And, of course, do not leave without trying the local cuisine.
